Green Clubcard points

Opt-in to donate your green Clubcard points to Together For Trees and every time you collect one – whether it’s reusing your bags or recycling your old inkjet cartridges – it will go straight towards saving the rainforests.**

Here are just some of the ways you can collect green Clubcard points:

Reuse your carrier bags

Every time you reuse a carrier bag in store*, we’ll reward you with one green Clubcard point. They don’t have to be Tesco bags – any bag you use will earn you a point!

Recycle electrical items

Recycle electrical items

Bring your old electrical items, from kettles to laptops, to a participating Tesco Extra store and our Tech Support team will give you a valuation for the item and reward you with green Clubcard points or a Tesco gift card.

Alternatively, visit our Electrical Trade-in website and get a quote for your old electronic gadgets. We will give you green Clubcard points or cash upon receipt and evaluation of your product. We will then restore your product to a reusable condition and give it a second life, or recycle it responsibly.

*Applicable to Clubcard members in England and Scotland.

In Wales, we are required by law to charge customers 5p for every new single-use carrier bag supplied in store. Following the introduction of this 5p levy, we are no longer awarding green Clubcard points for reusing carrier bags in Wales.

In Northern Ireland, we are required by law to charge customers 5p for every new single-use carrier bag supplied in store. Following the introduction of this 5p tax, we are no longer awarding green Clubcard points for reusing carrier bags in Northern Ireland.

We are donating the net proceeds of the levy to RSPB Cymru to help fund special places in Wales. More details can be found on www.tescoplc.com/carrierbags.

**Green Clubcard points will be donated at the end of each Clubcard statement period. When you opt in, you will donate your future green Clubcard points, and those you've earned since your last Clubcard Statement, to Together For Trees. You can cancel this arrangement at any time to stop the donation of all future and recent green Clubcard points - those earned since your last Clubcard statement. For each green Clubcard point donated by Clubcard members, 1p will be donated by Tesco to the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) registered in England and Wales (registered charity number 207076) and registered in Scotland (registered charity number SC037654)
